Tote Bag

During my freshmen year of college at the U of A, I created this tote bag, along with the two other products below, in the Introduction to Apparel Production (AMPD 1023) class. I loved this class, because I was pleasantly surprised how fast I picked up on sewing- having never touched a machine prior to the class.
Button-Up Shirt

My second creation in AMPD 1023 was to make a button-up shirt. I immediately knew I wanted to create something that I would want to wear after the grading process, and thus I decided on a black and white plaid fabric. Although, the shirt was the most difficult item to produce, I learned a lot through the process.
Velvet Skirt

Our final project in the class was to create a bottom of our choice. Moreover, I wanted to create something that I would want to wear again, and what is more timeless than black and velvet? For all three projects shown above I received A's, and I could not be happier with the results!
Reversible Wrap Skirt

In AMPD 3003, we were asked to create any garment we desired, while making 3 changes to the original pattern that we also created. I created a reversible, wrap skirt! The changes made consisted of the garment being fully lined (and reversible), converting the darts to flare, and adding two button closures.
Two-Piece Star Dress

In AMPD 4063- Advanced Apparel Production, we were tasked with creating anything we wanted to walk in the university's fashion show. Every year the Enclothe Fashion Show has a theme and the theme for 2019's show was "Universal Elements". My garment was a part of the "space" section of the show. Production on this garment lasted from January to April, and the pieces for the garment were constructed with the computer application Modaris.
